A Bit of Background

ARC of Greater New Haven, Inc (ARCGNH) is a public charity (501(c)3 private non-profit agency) that has been around since the early 1950’s. Its foundation was in grassroots advocacy started by parents and family members of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities fighting for the rights and abilities of their family members. The organization has provided advocacy and a variety of services since that time.

In the early 1990’s, the Board of Directors decided to focus specifically on providing day support services to individuals with significant intellectual disabilities. Since that time we have grown to provide daily person centered choice based services to over 100 individuals through our program locations in Milford, Hamden and North Haven.

I think the pictures and information you will see on our web site tell our story and show our commitment to individuals with intellectual disabilities better than words.
